On September 21st, the President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, Tom Barkin, will visit the Strome College of Business to have an informal discussion with faculty, students, and staff. Mr. Barkin is visiting the region to learn more about the economy of Hampton Roads and to engage with stakeholders in the private and public sectors. Mr. Barkin is a senior leader in the Federal Reserve System and was a voting member of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) in 2018. This is a unique opportunity for faculty and students to gain insight into how decisions are made in the broader Federal Reserve System and the FOMC.

Mr. Barkin’s presentation along with a question and answer session will be broadcast via Zoom from 12:15 pm to 1:00 pm. This unique event is open to all ODU faculty, students, and staff. RSVP for access by September 20th to Dr. Barbara Blake, bblakego@odu.edu
